Robert E. Bridges Lifetime Achievement Award

The Robert E. Bridges Lifetime Achievement award is the highest honor given by WakeEd. This award is given to an individual who has dedicated his/her life to improving and creating an unmatched impact on public education.

Vernon Malone Friend of Education Award

The Vernon Malone Friend of Education Award is given to someone who has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to public education and shares the personal qualities of the late Senator Vernon Malone, who passed away in 2009.

WCPSS Hall of Fame

The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) Hall of Fame honors outstanding educators, alumni and community leaders who through their lives have either deeply impacted WCPSS or, as an alumnus, dramatically added  to the quality of life in our city, state or nation.

Each year we gather business, education and community leaders to celebrate public education and honor those who form the backbone of the largest school district in North Carolina— the Wake County Public School System.
